Palestine X Disability Justice Syllabus

Palestine X Disability Justice Syllabus

“The silence from major disability-led organizations and disabled leaders in the United States denotes their complicity in a mass disabling event and the deaths of thousands of people. Below is a list of publications from the Disability Visibility Project on Palestinian liberation and disability justice and related topics. Through these essays I hope people can make the connections and be in solidarity with the people of Palestine who are fighting for their homeland and right to exist.”

Disability Divest

“We are a collective of disabled individuals who have joined together to call for a free Palestine and the end to the U.S. disability establishment's partnership with war profiteers and complicity with genocide and colonialism. We come together as comrades and reject the elitist and ableist idea that critiques from disabled people who are affiliated with disability advocacy organizations carry more validity than critiques from disabled people who are not affiliated with them. During Disability Pride Month, we call on disabled individuals to recognize that there is no disability justice and no disability pride without a free Palestine.”

Joint Letter: Rights organisations demand new Labour government end UK complicity in Israel’s atrocity crimes

“We are asking this government for leadership and to take a just decision, for the sake of Palestinians in Gaza who are living through “hell on earth”. The world should have put an end to their unimaginable suffering a long time ago. Labour must suspend, revoke and refuse all arms licences for Israel now.”
